Dr. Jeremy Stevenson, Elected President-Elect
Dr. Jeremy Stevenson earned his Psy.D. in clinical psychology from George Fox University in 2010. He completed his internship at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Kansas City Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He is currently a clinical assistant professor in the Department(s) of Family Medicine, and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.
Dr. Stevenson is an active member of the Kansas Psychological Association. He is currently serving as the Public Education Campaign (PEC) Coordinator and formerly as the Early Career Psychologist (ECP) Board Member. In 2016 he attended the State Leadership Conference in Washington D.C. and participated in advocacy day for mental health reform. He is dedicated to serving psychologists, patients and families using best practices, advocating for proper reimbursement, and for the inclusion of psychologists in the federal definition of “physician.” He is willing and very interested in being considered for election as President of KPA in 2018 in order to continue his service to psychologist in Kansas.
Dr. Stevenson is a licensed psychologist in Kansas and Missouri. He is a member of the American Psychological Association (Div.(s) 38 and 45). His practice settings have included hospitals, outpatient medical rehabilitation clinics, and workplace primary care clinics. His clinical work has focused on psychological assessment, psychological aspects of health, coping with chronic illness/disease and proactive approaches to health, wellness, and disease management.
